At Evergreen Cemetery on Friday afternoon (4/17) a Swainson's Warbler was feeding within plain view for over an hour from 3 PM on and was still there when I left. The bird was down the embankment along the canal about 50 yards from the south boundary of the cemetery, and at times worked its way to within less than 10 feet from the spot where I was quietly sitting on the ground. Although well-camouflaged, this bird was easy to spot since it made a conspicuous disturbance in the ground debris while turning over and tossing leaves with its bill.
