Yesterday, August 13 at approx. 5:15 pm, Coast 2 Coast birders Albert Gonzalez and Raul "Rock Jetty" Urgelles arrived at Crandon Flats during low tide. We were greeted by sunshine, gusty winds, and scores of shorebirds:

PIPING PLOVER - at least a half dozen
Wilson's Plover - same as above
Semipalmated Plover - too many to count
Sanderling - same as above
Least Sandpiper - 2 in bright rufous
Ruddy Turnstone - at least a dozen
Sandwich Tern
Royal Tern
Least Tern
Laughing Gull
Lesser Black-backed Gull
Double-crested Cormorant
Brown Pelican

Not too shabby huh Robin?

Cheers,
Raul
