Spent 2 hours at Evergreen Cemetery today and really took my time along the water. some highlights were ovenbird, worm eating warbler, northern waterthrush, redstart, cape may, black and white, black throated blue. One bird in particular I had never seen before. It was on the ground a couple of feet away from an ovenbird, and near where I saw the waterthrush. It resembled very much the waterthrush except there was no streaking at all on the breast or chest. all clear, not white but tannish drab colored breast as best I could tell color in the lighting, but no streaking or spotting at all. The bill seemed a little larger than a warbler. The cap seemed dark and the eye lines all resembled the waterthrush. I feel 95% it was a Swainson's Warbler, I am not sure what else it could be, but I am not an expert birder. I would like to know how reasonable that id is for Evergreen Cemetery and time of year. Has anyone else seen one there? Would like to add a lifer.
