I went out this morning in hope of migrants. I did find a few new birds in place they were not a day or two ago, but they were far and few between. First stop was Sadowski as I waited for a report from Toe on AD Barnes. There were a few new birds but overall it was still slow for spring. I saw my FOS, oops FOY swifts, Cape May, Common Yellow-throat, Prairie, Palm, and Red Start. I heard an Ovenbird, Black and White and White-eyed Vireo singing. But that was about it.

I headed over to Cutler Wetland on the way down south and found not much new. There were a few Stilt Sandpipers and some peeps, lots of Black-necked Stilt, American Avocet and the other expected species.

I stopped at C111E and found a few warblers but not many and nothing new for the day.

At Lucky Hammock I ran into a two birders from Oregon that told me they saw a Bullocks Oriole!!! They walked me around the hammock and showed me were they saw it. They mentioned the black going all the way across the tip of the tail. They left and I continued looking for an Oriole but after 3 walks around the Hammock I saw none. There were only a few warblers. Red Start and Palm.

At the annex I found many Great Crested Flycathers and heard the Bell's vireo along with a White-eyed Vireo. I thought I saw a Chestnut-sided fly across the road, but never was able to lay my eyes on it.

I went to Royal Palm and checked the parking lot and found little except Crows, Vultures and tourist.

I went to check Research Rd and found nothing new there either, but I did see Bluebirds and Nuthatches.

I didn't see any Swallow-tailed Kites, but I really wasn't in the park long.

On my way back home I went back by Lucky Hammock and walked around it again but still didn't see an Oriole.

Overall it was great to be away from the desk, but not very productive as far as birding goes. I didn't even take any photos.
