On the strip of lawn, maybe 90' wide, between the City Furniture parking lot and a pond, off Hiatus Rd. north of Commercial. I saw this same bird, I think, on 3/21. Thought then that weather might have made it land temporarily, but now I wonder if this crane is actually living there. (I have not been back to this location since 3/21.)
Also in the area: brown thrasher, common yellowthroat, purple swamphen, 6 wood storks kettling over the glades (seen from Sunset Point Park at the W end of McNab Rd.), osprey, great blue, monk parakeet. Also a big gator in that pond.
