Hi all,
I was at Crandon Park some time ago scoping out the waterfowl collection. I was disappointed to find that many of the species I remember from years ago were not present. The Egyptian geese are doing quite nicely, but many other species were lacking. I found an interesting pairing in an out of the way corner of the park. A Nene (Hawiian Goose) was apparently incubating eggs. The nest was being defended by an Egyptian goose. That would be an interesting hybrid combination.
