Sadowski - Great Horned Owl

I stopped at Sadowski this morning and didn't see much in the way of migrants, but did see a Great Horned Owl in the big tree at the end of the Hammock trail that empties onto the canal.

I also stopped at Cutler Wetland and found both of the American Avocet that have been there for over a year. Only one has been seen for the last several months. I wonder if they were nesting somewhere near by?
