Definitely take binoculars! The zoo grounds still have remnants of pine rockland, which is great habitat for woodpeckers and pine warblers and a variety of other pineland-lovin' birds. Plus it is true like Angel & Mariel said, that you will get more out of the aviary experience. PLUS you can see the exhibit animals up close... check out the giraffe's eyelashes, they are amazing... there is no reason NOT to take binoculars :-)
