We saw both White-winged Parakeets (3) and a Spot-Breasted Oriole this past Sat. afternoon at the University of Miami - in fact, in the same tree, at the same time! It is the tallest bare tree, located between Stanford Dr. and the Student Services Center, near Lake Osceola. We had first seen the S.B. Oriole fly into some trees between the end loop of Stanford Drive and the Jenkins Building. After wonderful looks and sufficient pictures, we heard the parakeets squawk, and walked south towards the lake, discovering the W.W. Parakeets in that bare tree. The Oriole flew in just shortly afterwards.
