The sacred ibis are most easily seen on their rookery from the back yard of a house on Calusa Club Drive. The house is for sale and the owner has graciously offered to let interested birders go through his yard to see the rookery. This Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 9 and 10) there is an open house to show the house and anyone who would like to is welcome to come to see the birds, which have been seen at various times, not just at the evening fly-in.
