I had a great time birding around the Everglades yesterday. I took a nap mid-day and kind of took it easy from that point on, as it was hot and the winds were really kicking which always makes birding difficult. I did finally get some nice looks (and mediocre photos) of a BLACK-WHISKERED VIREO in the mangroves at the end of Snake Bight trail. However, I missed the Shiny Cowbird and Scissor-tailed Flycatcher reported yesterday. Here are the birds I encountered today:
