Another location in Palm Beach County that is worth the trip, is a canoe/kayak trip down the Loxahatchee River off Indiantown Road. You may still be able to pass by adult limpkins with their chicks or fledglings, sometimes getting to within inches of the birds without unduly alarming them as you cruise the oxbows.
