I went to AD Barnes this morning hoping to see something different and wasn t disappointed. I arrived at sunrise and found the hammock area to be fairly quiet except for a couple of winter birds. When I got to the pines near the canal on the north side of the park I found many birds flying around in the tops of the pines.
I saw about 8 American Goldfinch with some Pine Warblers and a Yellow-throat Vireo. The Goldfinch flew north across the canal shortly after first seeing them. I continued looking through the pines and found a few other birds.
I ran into Bill B in the Hammock on the way back to the car and he added an Ovenbird and Black-throated Green to the list for the morning.
