This morning while looking for early migrants on Snake Bight, I found a female Wilson's Warbler about midway along the trail. The trail was otherwise very quiet compared to January and February. Some birds of note:
Gray Catbird -- 4
Northern Parula -- 2
Prairie Warbler -- 5
Palm Warbler -- 2
Black-and-white Warbler -- 2
Northern Waterthrush -- 1
Wilson's Warbler -- 1
Painted Bunting -- 2
...along with plenty of the resident Great Crested Flycatchers, Common Ground-Doves, Common Yellowthroats, White-eyed Vireos, etc. There were large concentrations of shorebirds on Florida Bay, but I could not locate any Marbled Godwits.
I had three Swallow-tailed Kites soaring near the road on my way out of the park -- always great to see these graceful birds!
Carlos
