As migration starts to warm up and we head to Barnes, we should prepare for possible break ins. I think this is the third break in reported since the fall, and birders could be a target. During the TAS walks, do as much as you can to deter the thefts by leaving nothing appealing in view. I hate to hear about this at Miami's best migrant trap.

As for Pensacola's birds, the sparrows and juncos that I have seen everyday seem to be heading out. The Pine Warblers, Northern Parulas, and House Finches have been singing across campus, and the azaleas and dogwoods are blooming. Just waiting for the first Mississippi Kites, Acadian Fycatchers, and Prothotary and Hooded Warblers to set up territories on campus!
