Last year I attended the Big O Birding Festival near Lake Okeechobee. Even though the attendance was not high I had a wonderful time viewing wildlife on the tours offered, meeting new friends, and learning about this bird rich area of rural Florida.
The 2009 Festival is now in Clewiston. Wildlife viewing, lectures, and various field trip opportunities are available from Friday April, 3 until Monday April 6, 2009.
