We had an excellent day birding. We started before sunrise walking C111E Canal to find Limpkin for our Dade County list and hoped to see Blue Grosbeak in the tall grass along the east side of the canal. No luck on those but we did see.

Palm Warbler
Yellow-rump
Prairie
Common Yellow-throat
Blue-headed Vireo
Cedar Waxwing
Indigo Bunting
Painted Bunting
Eastern Phoebe
Blue-grey Gnatcatcher
Red-tailed Hawk

Then we went to the annex and added a few good birds there.

Barred Owl
Bells Vireo
Brown Crested Flycatcher
Great Crested Flycatcher
and Possible Ash-throated Flycatcher near the area where the Bell's vireo has been seen.
Male Northern Harrier

In ENP we went looking for nuthatches and found...

Harry Woodpecker (seen only by Toe across from the pond where the Brown Crested Flycatchers are regularly found near hidden lake)
Bluebird
Pine Warbler
Brown-headed Nuthatch
Eastern Towhee

Then headed to see Bonnie s find- Black-throated Grey at Sadowski

We ran into many friends during the day birding. It was a great day to be outside enjoying nature.
