Last evening at approx. 5:00 p.m. five Common Nighthawks silently circled my backyard; they didn't stick around too long. FOS for me!
Prior to that 15 Chestnut-fronted Macaws flew into my neighbor's Mango tree and basically "had their way" with the remaining harvest. Not to be outdone, when the Macaws went squawking off, about 5 Monk parakeets came in to finish the job. Later on, Blue Jays took over where the Monks had left off. Thank goodness I had picked most of the fruit last Sunday.
