Sorry, but I am new to birding, although I am enjoying it very much.
Even if the Mockingbird is one of the most prevalent birds found in south Florida, I am not sure if this is one of them. The characteristic that is causing the confusion is the yellow throat and forehead seen here. I have searched the web and could not find any description indicating that this characteristic is sometimes present, and I have ruled out the reflection from the shrub upon which it is resting. My guess is that it is just a variation or other morph. Anyway, hopefully this will be the first of many i.d. issues. The link is below. Thanks for any help.
