Dump Marsh

I made a trip to Dump marsh to see my first Lesser Nighthawks today and saw a bird that seemed to associated with the group of but lacked the white markings on the wings. The bird seemed about the same size and of a slightly lighter color than the nighthawks. Given Trey's note about hearing a Chuck-wills widow I was wondering whether it is possible that this is what I saw or just another Nighthawk?
