I went to Dump Marsh this afternoon and quickly found the Tropical Kingbird on the snags across the canal behind the wastewater plant. I was trying to get good looks at one of the Soras in the pond, which I finally did, and the Kingbird stayed in the area the entire time. On the drive home, I went by Cutler Wetlands without intending to stop, but I noticed a few RW Blackbirds and Cowbirds on the wire. There is a house on the north side of 224 St. that has a large Bougainvillea overhanging the fence. They must have a feeder in the yard since there are always lots of Blackbirds, Cowbirds, Collared Doves, and House Sparrows in there. I've been looking for the YH Blackbird here several time without luck, but this afternoon the birds were all up in the open, and I spotted the female Yellow-headed high in a bush next to the fence. This is the first time I see the Tropical Kingbird, Yellow-headed Blackbird, and a Sora in the same day. Sounds like a beer-bird event to me! I'm debating between a Bell's Kalamazoo Stout or an Oskar Blues Ten Fidy. Hum????

Cheers!
