While there yesterday we noticed the mass of tall invasive vegetation was sprayed and have started to die off. There are a couple of areas that have already started opening up; a couple that we saw had small amounts of water on mostly mud. We observed a group of Yellow-legs fly into one of these pockets and feed in the mud, they seemed to be happy =) The vegetation is much lower than last week; some of the natives are more visible now. Like you said Toe the spraying of the invasives is helping the native vegetation take back control again. Hopefully they do a good job in there and it is ready for an amazing shorebird migration, last shorebird migration tanked down there.
Nature is Awesome
