I got out to Cape Sable by kayak this weekend where this morning I found a small group of Seaside Sparrows in the northwest corner of the coastal prairie north of the Clubhouse Beach camping area. The birds didn t look at all like the Cape Sable race (mirabilis) but most closely resembled the Atlantic race (maritimus). A couple of Sedge Wrens were also seen in the prairie.
