Three days ago my son and I were driving down Country Walk Blvd(west of Miami Metrozoo)and just as we passed a Black Olive tree with a Blackbird nest a Swallow-tailed Kite swooped down and snatched the chick off the nest. The parents followed of course, but the Kite appeared to have eaten the chick in flight. It was pretty exciting for we have never seen a kite up close before.
