Using the recent recommendations from the TAS Board I went in search of the PB County scrub jays. I am now convinced that the Florida Scrub Jay is a fabrication, as I was skunked once again. None were found at Jupiter Ridge Natural Area after a brief search.
The Carlin Park heart trail was also a bust--and the habitat didn't seem right for them anyway.
Is there a better time of day to reliably see active scrub jays?
