I was birding early yesterday morning in Doug Barnes Park, saw the usual birds there. I cant ID about half of them as I am new to this. On the way home I saw a reptor perched on a tree near a canal in the neirborhood and decided to take a closer look. I think it is a dark morph short tailed hawk. Here is a link to the picture.
