Today, while birding the Manfredi Marsh in the late afternoon, I was awed by the appearance of a White-tailed Kite flying over the water retention area in an easterly direction. The time was approx. 7:00 pm. Gosh what a beautiful sight...a lifer.
David, I did not go to the Palm Beach sod farms this morning, I'm leaving that adventure for the weekend. By then you'll be in the Great Land of Denali. May the Great Spirit himself allow you to view his most magnificent avian creations: the Gaviids. Godspeed my friend, I live vicariously through your journeys (just make sure you come back in time for that Keys/Tortugas trip you're leading in September).
