Studying the evolution of the A.D. Barnes checklist with great interest, I have finally had time to dig out my park list to add to the diverse list of species recorded within the park.

Ring-necked Duck 03/29/01
Peach-faced Lovebird 11/17/99
Cockatiel 10/12/93
Caspian Tern 04/26/98
Common Ground Dove 10/16/93
Cliff Swallow 09/15/01

This little jewel of a park lends credence to the importance of establishing a "Green-belt" in Florida for migratory birds to rest, feed and overwinter.Considering that 35 species of warbler and many rarities have been seen here, makes A.D. Barnes an excellent birding locale for locals and visiting birders alike.Life is good..........knowing that Barnes is only 10 minutes from my mi casa.
