FRANKLIN COUNTY
On the 12th three SHINY COWBIRDS showed up at a feeder at John Murphy’s house in Alligator Point. SouthMoonUnder@webtv.net (J. Murphy). DeLorme p. 61; Pranty p. 74

DUVAL COUNTY
On the 13th on Big Bird Island in Nassau Sound one LONG-BILLED CURLEW was fond. Note: this site accessible via the north end of Little Talbot Island State Park (P. Leary). DeLorme p. 58;

LAKE COUNTY
On the 12th at least one SHORT-TAILED HAWK was back along CR 445 at the entrance
road to Alexander Springs in the Ocala National Forest (J. Puschock). DeLorme p. 73

VOLUSIA COUNTY
On the 11th on a fishing trip out from Ponce Inlet one AUDUBON’S SHEARWATER and 30 BRIDLED TERNS were seen (B. Wallace). DeLorme p. 75

POLK COUNTY
On the 16th two light morph SHORT-TAILED HAWKS were seen soaring over the nature trail at Saddle Creek Park and another was heard calling farther away (B. Ahern). DeLorme p. 85; Pranty p. 158

PINELLAS COUNTY
MANGROVE CUCKOOS are still being spotted at Weedon Island. On the 12th one was seen at the end of the Bay Boardwalk. Early morning is best (D. Richardson). DeLorme p. 90; Pranty p. 126

“Herman” the HEERMANN’S GULL continues to be seen on East Beach at Ft. DeSoto Park. Early mornings and evening seem to be the best time (V. Lucas & all). Also the LONG-BILLED CURLEW has returned to North Beach. On the 12th it was seen near the wooden footbridge to the beach (D. Richardson & all). DeLorme p. 90; Pranty p. 126

COLLIER COUNTY
On the 15th two ANTILLEAN NIGHTHAWKS were first heard and then seen flying in the vicinity of the Tradewinds condominium on Collier Road (T. Davidowicz). DeLorme p. 111


PALM BEACH COUNTY
On the 12th at Holeyland/Rotenberger W.M.A. on the Palm Beach/Broward County
line one SMOOTH-BILLED ANI was seen where the paved road ends on the south
side of the canal (P. Bithorn & all). DeLorme p. 113/114

MONROE COUNTY
ANTILLEAN NIGHTHAWKS have been seen this past week on Big Torch Key. On Dorn Road, go about 300 yards past the houses. Flights (and " pitty pik-piks “) begin about 8:45 p.m. (M. Hubbard). DeLorme p. 124
