got there early, 7:15ish. lots of black-crowned night herons flying. lots of anhingas, GBH's, and a of this was before the gate. inside there is an anhinga nest, and a little green heron nest, tough to see. lots of snowies fishing, red shouldered hawks around at the beginning of the trail, one yellow crowned night heron with a juvy, tough to see. lots of activity!!
the sun finally broke through about 11:30. at that time the alligators started coming out of the woodwork!!! one even lunged at an oriental couple close to the shore.
dont know much about the little birds, but i heard there was a white eyed vireo spotted? along with some warblers.
