Here is the chick, watching the adult preen. I'm using a 300mm with 1.4 extender-- 420 mm. It would be easy to set up your tripod. Trying to find out if the Broward School Board still plans to go ahead with construction within 330 feet during nesting season. We hope they don't start trenching along the shoulder of the road, as this is the only "window" that provides good views. The viewing area is only about 20 feet square, about 200 feet from nest. There is always some back lighing, but afternoon light seems best. Adults seem to bring in fresh prey about every 1 to 2 hours.
