Butorides virescens, Green Backed heron, a/k/a Green heron, formerly known as Night Heron.... oh who cares. Like all of us, it is hot, sweaty, and looking for a little shade. Probably wouldn't mind a small bass or a beak full of minnows, maybe a frog? Presently holding court in Wakodahatchee, West Palm Beach. Just a pretty little bird sitting in the middle of a great deal of reclaimed waste water. Will wonders never cease?
