On the bird count today we had a couple of highlights (at least for our park list):
Brown Pelican
8 Black-crowned Night Heron
Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs
Killdeer
5 Ring-billed Gull
2 Forster's Tern
Blue-headed Vireo
20+ Northern Rough-winged Swallow
5 Tree Swallow
12 Purple Martin
Painted Bunting (male)
The Limpkins are vocalizing a lot more. Last year we had our first nest hatch record on 29Jan2008. So hopefully we'll have more baby Limpkins again this year.
