What a great story. Reminded me of a video my daughter the vet sent me about a wild cockatoo who mated with a disabled female and it had a great ending of him teaching his offspring to be wild. Meanwhile , I have a juvenile hybrid who flys in with a wild macaw; then spends several hours in and out of the cages with my macaws and then gets picked up by the wild macaw around 3. It's like she/he gets dropped off for babysitting and lunch.
