A quick midmorning stop at Wakodahatchee revealed no migrants but lots of HY birds of the summer residents. Without much effort I tallied 14 Least Bitterns, including one group of 4 newly fledged. I was surprised that there were no Black-necked Stilts around.

Also, as a followup to an RFI from a Massachusetts birder, I did a drive-by at Ft.L. Airport Perimeter Rd. about 11:45 and quickly found 2 Smoth-billed Anis along the airport-side fence and hedge, app. .2-.3 miles down the road from its intersection with Griffin Rd.
