Brian is correct. If you attempt to access STA-5 from Rotenberger/Holeyland the closest you will get to your destination is viewing the south embankment of the "5" across a canal.

WARNING - driving grades, canal banks and ag roads bordered by canals is DANGEROUS. Driving those traces with the windows rolled up, especially in a vehicle equipped with power windows, can be hazardous in the extreme. If you run off the embankment the car will slide down the steep incline, into the water, the electrical window mechanism will then fail to work. The doors will not open against the water pressure until the vehicle has sufficient water inside to equalize that pressure, and trying to break modern auto glass is much more difficult than one imagines. WINDOWS DOWN no matter the climatic conditions.

There are some other tricks to traipsing these trails. Learning the skill of completely reversing you vehicle's direction on very narrow raised grades is one.

Also, if you get stuck or break down out there it may be a long time before you see another person, the county sheriff or AAA finds you.
