At my house on SW 11th Terrace and 23rd Ave, there were two female Baltimore Orioles on a dead branch of a tree across the street. I was surprised to see a single male House Finch on the same snag Sunday afternoon. The same branches usually have a Kestrel perched and, until he arrived in November a Loggerhead Shrike. A popular half-dead tree! On the same note, on many occasions I hear Spot-Breasted Orioles singing from the house, most times a few houses down, on 23rd, south of 11th Terrace (near Bryant Park). The Spot-Breasted has come in the yard a few times, it likes the Coconut Palm. I don't see or hear it every day, but I do hear it sing on many mornings.
