There is at least one eaglet in the Pembroke Pines nest. With the cold snap, we are concerned because Broward County will be installing a new traffic light, and will have to dig a trench to run a cable down the block, directly in front of the nest. It will be about 190-200 feet away from the nest.
A flock of 50-60 Cedar Waxwings flew right over the nest tree this morning. There were four at Chapel Trail Nature Center on January 18th, when I took this photo. .
