We started off the morning in search of the Black-throated Gray Warbler that John H reported. When we arrived in the morning we met John H, Russ T and Joel W. John had seen the bird shortly before we all arrived. After about a half hour we spotted the Northern Parula that it was hanging with and right afterwards saw the BTYW briefly. Then Andy arrived and we saw another very brief look of the BTYW. The weather started getting bad and the winds had picked up so we decided to head out. We went to see if the Least Grebe was still around. Sure enough it was. It was great to see the Least Grebe for the second time ever.

On our way back home we stopped to see if we could get better looks at the BTYW. We definitely got better views in the afternoon. The black chest band was visible, the yellow spot as well as the white belly and undertail coverts. The huge white supercilium was really an amazing sight! It was still hanging around with the same flock and the Parula by its side. We were in such awe that we didn't take pictures because we wanted to have good binoc views of our lifer BTYW.

We then headed down I-95 seeing that we had time we decided to stop by the Ani spot to give it a try. Within five minutes we found four Smooth-billed Ani and then one more joined them giving us great views. They kept us entertained with their amazing call for a few moments until they took to the wing.

Since we weren't that far from it and there was still 30 minutes until sundown we headed to see if the Great Cormorant was still around. We strolled up to the Jetty and right away spotted the Great Cormorant on the Channel Marker #5. Alongside it was a Double-Crested Cormorant for comparison.

Four great birds in one day, can't beat it!

We celebrated with an Ommegang Chocolate Indulgence, which celebrates Ommegang's first decade of brewing sinfully fine ales. Chocolate malts and real Belgian chocolate blend into this lushly decadent stout, certain to seduce your palate.
And remember : "There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with chocolate!" - Charles Dickens
