Decided to head out to AD Barnes during my lunch hour after reading about some of Carlos Sanchez's great birds he saw yesterday. Could only bird for 45 minutes (still got to work 20 minutes late :0) The raised walkway was the best area for birding. The rest of the park was very quiet. Saw the noisy Magnolia Warbler (still noisy), a male Black-Throated Blue Warbler, three White-Crowned Pigeons and TWO Summer Tanagers (one male and one female). Aside from a Phoebe by the parking and a Red Junglefowl that probably got away from some santeria ritual, that was it. Not many, but good birds. Oh yeah, a raccoon was up in the trees, curled up into a ball, asleep. Great balance.
