I just wrapped up my winter South FL tour (it was good to be back in the neighborhood) and I was pleased to find that the Smooth-billed Anis of Old Griffin Rd are still in residence. We had 5 birds north of the canal in the large vacant lot near the transmission towers. The birds later flew across the canal and worked the trees along the south side of the canal/north side of Old Griffin. This was about a block east of the 800 building.
