A Yellow-headed Blackbird was found at 4.38pm today among the many Brown-headed Cowbirds gathered on the wires adjacent to Dump Marsh water treatment facility. They soon headed off towards the NW, presumably to their roost site.

The Tropical Kingbird was not observed while I was there.

Other highlights were an American Bittern, and after 6.15pm, two Lesser Nighthawk, two E.Screech-Owl, one Whip-poor-will and one very close fly-by Barn Owl.

The highlight of the afternoon in ENP was a Clay-colored Sparrow with 8 Savannah Sparrows feeding in the grassy margins between parking lots just west of the visitor center at Flamingo.
