I usually hear King Rails and Soras around dawn and dusk along the south side of levee that goes due west from the boat ramp area about a mile out and within a few hundred yards of the low levee that goes south from the main levee. Also keep an eye out for Cave Swallows and Short-tailed Hawks later in the morning.
