Crandon Flats: First signs of migration

Other than a few Laughing Gulls and Royal Terns, there have been few birds on Key Biscayne Crandon Flats since early June. The past 2 days have brought the first signs of migration with a Black Skimmer, Ruddy Turnstone in breeding plumage and Least Sandpiper. In addition to the 1st-summer Lesser Black-backed Gull that has remained since spring, another LBBG has arrived (seems to be faded adult) and, what seems to be, a 1st-summer Great Black-backed Gull.

Those of you familiar with "Exercise Guy" -- he's back and still clueless to the world of entertainment afforded by a Kowa at 30X.
