Decided to look for the Scrub Jay yesterday. Would be a life bird and just had to see this Florida endemic. With a friend went to Jupiter Ridge. Place was mostly quiet (did see Kestrels, Red-Tailed Hawk, Blue Jays, RB Woodpeckers, Phoebes, Yellow-Rumped and Pine Warblers) and eventually found a band of four of the jays. Exciting and beautiful birds. Afterwards decided to go to Green Cay. My second time there. What a great place. Saw most of the standard egrets, herons, raptors, waterbirds and ducks in addition to good views of a noisy Limpkin and great views of several Soras. The feeders had Painted Buntings.
