I knew someone would ask that question.......Palmetto Bay, a couple blocks west of Old Cutler Road. Troy also observed that the house with the Mahogany tree had quite a few Christmas lights down below in the front yard; especially strings of lights wrapped around several tree trunks. Troy, thought since these lights were putting out quite a bit of light perhaps they were attracting lots of flying insects. Also, the Whip-poor-Will's perch was a large mahogany seed pod. It would always return to the same seed pod perch after flying out for insects. I will check out the same spot this evening to see if the Whip-poor-will shows up again.
