A Short-eared Owl was spotted at Eco Pond at exactly 6:00 on 12/30. Andy Bankert and I first found possibly the same owl January 3 or 4 of 2007, and I understand it has been seen several times since in the area.
The only other bird of interest (at least to me) was a Northern Pintail at Mrazek Pond. We were only in the park from 5:00 to 9:00. The only other noctural bird seen was a dead Whip-Poor-Will on Research Road.
