Long Key Nature Center is near Flamingo Gardens (both in Broward County). I know that they were seen at Long Key, again, a couple of years ago, but I don't believe they showed up at the recent count. You might call there and speak to their naturalist, Kelly, to see if there was a recent sighting. They just did the Christmas Bird Count there, so if they're there, they'd likely be able to point you in the right direction.
Tawny Emporer was seen a month or so ago at Long Key, if you need that. You might also try calling both of the local NABA chapters (Dade and Broward). They may have more recent info. Good luck!
