Tropic Bird in Coconut Grove

A few weeks ago I was stuck in traffic on Main Highway in Coconut grove, when I noticed a largish white, tern-like bird flying in circles. It had pointed wings with black tips and appeared to be trailing a long white string. At first I though it may have some nesting material in tis bill, but then noticed it was the long white tail feathers that were trailing behind the bird. I did not notice the bill color, so I don't know if it was red, as in "red-billed tropic bird" (Phaehon aethereus). I've seen these off the west coast fo Puerto Rico around Mono Island, but this is the first time I've seen one here in Miami, if that is what I saw?

Thanks, Steven
