PLEASE NOTE: During the months of June, July, & August the FL. RBA may not be sent out on a weekly basis, but as needed in response to the decrease of bird activity during the hot summer.

WAKULLA COUNTY
On the 20th at St. Marks NWR a BRONZED COWBIRD was found at the parking area for the twin levees (T. Curtis) and was seen again in the same place on the 25th (S. McCool). On the 22nd along the main unit & Bottoms Rd. section of the SMNWR, a singing SWAINSON'S WARBLER was heard near the curve before the double bridges (J. Murphy & J. Dozier). VOLUSA COUNTY
On the 22nd the following were seen 45 miles offshore during a fishing trip: 30+ CORY’S SHEARWATERS, 2 AUDUBON’S SHEARWATERS, 15+ WILSON’S STORM-PETRELS, 1 BRIDLED TERN and a juvenile CONNECTICUT WARBLER that tried to land on the boat (B. Wallace). Delorme p. 75; Pranty p.176

PINELLAS COUNTY
On the 12th a probable BLACK NODDY was seen and photographed on Three Rooker Island, which is only accessible by boat (R. Baltrunas). DeLorme p. 82; Pranty p. 121

MONROE COUNTY
On the 22nd MANGROVE CUCKOO was seen at John Pennekamp State Park. The bird was between the boathouse and the campground. When you go past the boathouse you get to the restrooms and turn left down a dirt road. The bird was on the right side of the road (A. Bankert). DeLorme p. 122; Pranty p. 244

On the 22nd a “CARIBBEAN” SHORT-EARED OWL was seen at Ft. Zach on Key West (A. Bankert). DeLorme p. 127; Pranty p. 258

DRY TORTUGAS
On the 23rd a BLACK NODDY was seen on the north coaling docks on Garden Key (A. Bankert). DeLorme p. 126; Pranty p. 262
